What do you taste?

In het glas:

Zodra je deze wijn inschenkt, valt de warme, amberkleurige gloed meteen op.

In de neus:

Een rijke en uitnodigende geur. Je ruikt donker, rijp fruit gemengd met warme specerijen en een heel zacht randje karamel. Hij ruikt letterlijk naar warmte en gezelligheid.

In de mond:

Precies wat je van een klassieke Vino Cotto verwacht: warm, rond en zachtzoet. Omdat de wijnmaker het druivensap eerst heeft ingekookt, is de smaak enorm intens. Toch voelt hij nergens zwaar of stroperig aan, puur omdat hij in de kelder jarenlang de tijd heeft gekregen om perfect in balans te komen.

De afdronk:

Lang, diep en vol kruidige details. Een karaktervolle wijn vol Italiaanse traditie, perfect voor de koudere avonden.

Vinification

After the harvest, the Montepulciano grapes are pressed. Half of the must ferments traditionally, while the other half is boiled down, removing all the alcohol. This boiled must is later added back, resulting in a unique wine with natural sweetness and an alcohol content of approximately 12%. The four years of aging add depth and smoothness.
