🍇 Merlot

Hearty, fresh, and full of character. This rosé (Cerasuolo) immediately stands out with its clear color and purple sparkle. Not a watery terrace wine, but a full-bodied wine with ripe fruit flavors and a subtle hint of spice. Pure, beautifully balanced, and with a long, lingering finish. Honest quality, straight from the farm.

Wine details

What do you taste?

Vinification

The Merlot grapes for this exceptional rosé grow on the chalky clay hills around Lanciano, some 200 meters above sea level. Here, the fifteen-year-old vines catch the afternoon and evening sun (west-southwest). Harvesting takes place by hand in the second half of October, when the grapes are fully ripe. In the cellar, freshness is the key. The grapes are first given a cold start (cooled back to 1°C) to capture all the aromas. After a gentle fermentation, the wine is aged for another three months on its own lees. This adds refinement and freshness to your glass, without the heavy malolactic fermentation.

Regional explanation

Abruzzo – Wine of Sun and Mountains

Abruzzo is where the rugged mountains meet the Adriatic Sea. A region with a deep winemaking tradition, where the sun and wind shape the character of the grapes. While the region is famous for its Montepulciano and Trebbiano, the Mediterranean climate here offers the perfect conditions for both strength and finesse. It's an authentic landscape where craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation, and where nature truly reigns supreme.
