🍇 Montepulciano

Savory, powerful, and full of character. This rosé (Cerasuolo) immediately stands out with its deep, bright pink color and purple hues. Where most rosés stop, the Magenta continues with more body and a savory structure. A pure, expressive wine for those seeking a rosé with real depth and a lingering finish.

Wine details

What do you taste?

Vinification

The Montepulciano grapes for this Magenta grow on the chalky clay hills around Lanciano, some 200 meters above sea level. Here, the ten- to fifteen-year-old vines face the southern sun. To preserve that characteristic freshness and tension, the harvest takes place in early October, slightly earlier than for the full-bodied red wines. In the cellar, it begins with a cold start: the skins are steeped in the juice for twelve hours at a low temperature (10°C). This releases the beautiful color and fruity aromas. After a gentle pressing, the wine ferments quietly in cool tanks, without heavy oak aging, to preserve its fresh and pure character.

Regional explanation

Abruzzo – Wine of Sun and Mountains

Abruzzo is where the rugged mountains meet the Adriatic Sea. A region with a deep winemaking tradition, where the sun and wind shape the character of the grapes. While the region is famous for its Montepulciano and Trebbiano, the Mediterranean climate here offers the perfect conditions for both strength and finesse. It's an authentic landscape where craftsmanship is passed down from generation to generation, and where nature truly reigns supreme.
